Ever had one of those days?

Today was the kick-off for our ladies bible study. I had baby in the stroller and all was well until I looked down and realized(might lose some of you here) there was yellow ooze sitting with him. So off to the bathroom we go to change him, he and the stroller were a mess! Then I realized that I hadn't repacked an extra outfit, what to do we had just arrived....I didn't want to leave and knew the other kids would be upset to leave so soon too. Ah ha, I can just wear him in the sling and he will be fine! Just another reason to love slings! He ended up nursing and sleeping in the sling the rest of the time we were out(which he probably would have done anyway whether clothing would have been an issue or not).
While I was having tea and picking a study for the semester the children were being entertained by a clown and here is the end result of their time this morning.
We have tank boy.

First day of school

Today was our first 'official' day of school, although we did start some math and phonics last week. We have one in 4th and 2nd grade and one PreK and Preschool.

cycle mania

While cooking dinner the other day I looked out the window and saw my two younger boys(well the ones that can get into mischief, 3 & 4). I couldn't decide whether to laugh or yell, and was sorta wishing the camera was closer. I went with yelling and then walked away and laughed. You see they were sitting on our neighbors motorcycle, #3 was driving and #4 was taking the back seat. They were really into the adventure of pretend too, leaning into those imaginary curves! Our neighbor's parking spot is right in front of our unit and #4 always talks about it being his motorcycle and has a hard time not touching it as he walks by.
So the cycle remains unhurt once again and the kids are still dreaming of 'their cycle'.

Wish lists

my daughter's birthday is coming up next month. I overheard her and her older brother whispering about today and she was writing something down so I just got a peek at it. It was a birthday wish list, it went as follows:

scooter
new game for my game boy
a toy computer at BX
book's from Costco
A sister!
another high chair(for her doll I think)
a hula-hoop
gum

I laughed a bit when I saw number 5 and said 'ah, #2 I don't think you are going to get a sister for your birthday.' She says well it doesn't have to be a real sister, maybe just a doll that talks or something.....
Poor girl, loves her brothers but longs for a sister;)

Monday we welcomed our newest blessing

He came in at 4:42am, weighed 10lbs 10oz and was 23 3/4 inches long. Here are a few pictures of our beautiful #5.

Please excuse the pictures not being in the correct presentation. I thought I had the kinks worked out before I saved, but alas it doesn't seem to be so.

Happy Birthday to our 9 year old!!

I think he had a great day, he got a nice surprise when Uncle Richard came to visit!

He picked Pineapple Upside Down cake for his birthday treat. Was really excited to see it this morning and declared it very good tonight.

Wow, 9 years of being parents!
