Fire cup
I was holding my sweet little #5 today and we were walking about the room. He points to something on the mantle and with a big grin says "fire cup". Very descriptive words for a candle. Love it!

The Power of Touch
We talk a lot about touch in school(massage therapy program), even heard it talked about at a retreat I went to this weekend. Touch is such an important part of our lives, and as people spend more time alone(think about our older generation) or at the computer/games(think about our younger generation) there is so much that they are losing out on. People need to be touched to survive.
So before I get on a tangent. I was studying for a test I have today. My kids have been willing participants as I practice different massage techniques or draw invisible lines on them where bones and muscles are that I'm learning.(yes, the love of touch-go hug your kids!) Anyway as I was studying I was touching my leg while repeating the names of the muscles. My should-have-been-sleeping two year old starts jabbering at me and sticking his foot in my face. After staring at him and wondering what he was doing I realized he was saying "no, my foot". The sweet love wanted in on some touch therapy. I was happy to oblige him; gotta love the sweet cuddle time when they aren't into everything!
