Camping 2014 part 3

So lots and lots of rain was happening and forecasted in the days ahead so we decided to head home early but still continue to camp and enjoy our vacation time in another location.

#1 found a fossil

#4 said this was his table.

glow in the dark fun.

#5 wanted a picture of the cross he made.

 having fun in the mud

notice no pictures of #1?  He didn't understand why they thought the mud was fun so opted out:)

They all helped each other get muddy and to clean up afterwards.  Was quite fun to watch!

We have no pictures of but we  took a day and went floating with my youngest sister and family.  Was a great time!  Saw a lot of blue herons on the river that day.

Camping 2014 part 2

Visiting Southport

Camera didn't show the pretty colors but we had a lovely picnic with a beautiful view.

The only picture of all of us, so had to post it.  It poured rain the whole morning(and most of the rest of the day).

Fort Fisher

Sunset on the way home.

Camping part one 2014

On the road and ready to rock.

This was probably the worst seating arrangement on the trip. 4,1,and 5 in the same row.

May need to tie them on top the next road trip to keep my sanity.  Think that will be a problem?  OK, may rethink that *sigh*

;)

Beautiful views on the road.  After that nap #5 had above he was in awe with the forest that surrounded him.  (ps yes the sweet, fun family moments made up for the crabbiness in the car........mostly........I may have said I wasn't taking them anywhere ever again.........that probably means until next year though.  That's a year for us all to grow and mature, we can do it, right??)

Our camp site.  My sister and niece were next door. :)

The Beach, the Beach!!

Rough waters but good times!

Clothes line=more privacy lol!
Mosquitos were very, very, very bad here so keeping busy off campsite was important.

Just another view of campsite during the day.

seagulls by the ferry.

First ferry ride for most of the crew(my kids and oldest niece).  Made this momma nervous as the longer we were on the ferry(I felt like) the more the kids stretched over the railing.  On the ferry ride back we got to be the first car on the ferry so were parked at an opening. :)
