Did you know Dad's can multi-task too?

It's a little known fact. For example I was working on cleaning the stove top today and baby got fussy.

So dad picked up baby

and continued playing.

Baby is perfectly content, if you can't tell take a closer look.

Such silliness at our house!

Told the kids that we were going to look for dinosaurs today. They told me we shouldn't leave the house without shovels!
Alas the dinos we were looking for had already been discovered.

As we approached these outside the little one started walking slower and slower. He had to be carried inside as he was not too keen on the moving and loud dinosaurs.

He was much happier with the bones that he could 'discover'

Happy Father's Day!

The plan was to have a picture right here with dad and kids but that pictures has yet to be taken:) We had a nice relaxing day, which is what the dad wanted. Went to church, came home and I read the paper while the children napped/rested, had a mid day grill fest, kids wrestled and played games with dad, then we all went and played outside, read books and off to bed. It had been a busy work week for James so it was an extra nice day for all of us.

I've been working on memorizing this verse for the week. Every time I read it I think about the country I live in and how important it is to pray for our country.

2 Chronicles 7:14

....if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear them from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

In the paper today was an article about saving money on groceries. I was excited as there were a couple websites I haven't looked at yet. So I checked them out and was a bit disappointed. I live in a state that just doesn't have much in the way of sales. I'm not sure I'll ever get better than a 40% savings. But I have been able to get some free stuff and I have to say that's soo FUN! so I'll keep plugging away at it:)

Heart of the Matter

So I was going to join in the meme this week at Heart of the Matter. I am a little limited on the photos I have as my last computer crashed and the photos are still in the hard drive.

So I thought I could use this photo. This was taken on a sunset cruise after James got home from his last deployment. The only pictures I have on the laptop are from our trip(s)

I kept looking to see if i had anything else and this one had me cracking up!! But that's off subject......

Well, if you can stop laughing now.....

James, whether it's hiking around the islands, getting the children to laugh themselves silly or reading them a story before bed. You are so caring and loving and we're so glad we have you to call daddy. Love you babe!
