We did it!

We are all moved in our new home!  Still arranging and trying to find pieces to things.  Trying to remember to breathe and not stress about the responsibility of it all.  Had many hands help us move things-so thankful!  Also had a ton of furniture given to us or on loan to us, again so blessed!

Was going through some books and found a folder, I think from PWOC, and the first thing in it was this poem worth sharing.

I Made Her Because I Love Her

I made her . . . She is different

She is unique

With love I formed her in her mother's womb.

I fashioned her with great joy.

I remember, with great pleasure,

the day I created her.

(Psalm 139:13-16)

I love her smile.

I love her ways.

I love to hear her laugh.

And the silly things she says and does.

She brings Me great pleasure.

This is how I made her.

(Psalm 139:17 Zephaniah 3:17)

I made her pretty and not beautiful,

Because I knew her heart,

And knew she would be vain . . .

I wanted her to search out her heart,

And to learn that it would be

Me in her

That would make her beautiful . . .

And it would be Me in her

That would draw friends to her.

(1 Peter 3:3-5)

I made her in such a way,

That she would need Me.

I made her a little more lonesome

than she would like to be . . .

Only because I need for her

to lean and depend on Me . . .

I know her heart,

I know if I had not made her like this,

She would go her own chosen way

And forget Me . . . her Creator.

(Psalm 62:5-8)

I have given her

many good and happy things

Because I love her.

(Psalm 84:11, Romans 8:23 & 37-39)

Because I love her,

I have seen her broken heart . . .

And the tears she cried alone.

I have cried with her,

And had a broken heart, too.

(Psalm 56:8 Psalm 34:18)

Many times she has stumbled

and fallen alone

Only because she would not hold

My Hand,

So many lessons she's learned

the hard way.

Because she would not listen

to My voice . . .

(Isaiah 53:6)

So many times I have set back

And sadly watched her go

her merry way alone.

Only to watch her return to

My Arms, sad and broken.

(Luke 15:7)

And now she is Mine again . . .

I made her, and then I bought her . . .

Because I love her.

(Romans 5:8)

I have to reshape her and remold her . . .

To renew her

to what I had planned for her to be.

It has not been easy for her

or for Me.

(Jeremiah 29:11)

I want her to be conformed

to My image . . .

This is the high goal I have set for her,

Because I love her.

(2 Corinthians 2:14)

"God hath from the beginning chosen you."

2 Thessalonians 2:13

God thought of you even before He made the World,

even before He made you!

He loves you and longs to have the deepest

and closest relationship possible with you!

The Carroll's have landed

The kids and I safely arrived in the Heartland. The plane ride was a hard one physically and emotionally but we were also blessed with many kindhearted people that helped us along the way.
Grandparents & Aunts & Uncles surround. Talk and action on planting gardens and building chicken coops. Tree swings and horses. Some spring-like days and some days cold winds blow about. Starting school again with the kids-wondering how long it'll be before that groove gets set. Wondering what is in store for the future; where we will settle & much more. Thankful for much that is being provided.

Announcement

A girl and her doll. She was so very happy to find this waiting for her on Christmas day!

#4 wasn't sure what to think of the glasses one of his siblings got for him!

Love this boys smile! He still has one more loose tooth to go:)

The big news around here is that we are moving! The kids and I are headed to the Show-Me State in a couple short weeks. Yes, back to the land of winter. What O What will we do? Kids are really looking forward to this new adventure. Hoping they will enjoy the cold as much as they think they will;) In the meantime I'm trying to prepare our stuff to move. Little one thinks all this 'moving cleaning' is great fun.

Big news of the day,

if you haven't heard, is we are staying here another 3 years. Woohoo! Our minds have been rolling around as we adjust to everything that means.
The kids seem pretty happy about it. I was kinda wondering how they would take it as they seemed pretty excited about moving but they seem to be pretty good about rolling with the punches so yay!

Some pictures from the last few weeks.

What is this you ask? A Mess you might say....and you wouldn't be wrong but no, there's more......

Well, they were carving animals(cats I believe and they being #2 & #3). We had been talking about Inuits.
Apparently that was a little more difficult than expected(or soap was more crumbly) so they made snow instead;)

Pears were on sale for 69 cents a pound! If any fruit is on sale for 99 cents or less I am all over it! So we got 7 1/2 pounds and made some Pear bread and Pear sauce. Both were really yummy and all gone now:(

Earlier this week we went on a walk up to a lighthouse. The day was very overcast so the view wasn't as good as usual but it was kinda neat too to see the mountains covered. I didn't take any pictures of that as I haven't figured out my camera well enough to get a good picture but here are a few of the family.

#1 running to catch up with the rest. That he didn't hurt himself I am amazed he kept walking right along the falling apart path and would fall himself.

#4 was a little tired near the end. He kept wanting to take his hat off but we were insistent that it stay on. So he then pulled the bill over his face so he could lay flat against daddies back. We thought it was quite funny.
