jelly bean flavor of the day

"Mom I smell a jelly bean!" said #3
"Oh you do? What flavor is it?" I ask(a little afraid of what the answer could be)
"It's coffee flavored!" said #3
"No, silly that's not a jelly bean, that is my coffee." I say
"No Mom, it isn't your coffee it is a jelly bean!" said #3 He was very insistent on the fact this didn't smell like my usual cup of coffee.
"Hmm, well I do have creamer in my coffee this time. I guess you think coffee flavored jelly beans taste like hazelnut coffee smells!" I said

ps I got the creamer for free for being a vocal point member. If you haven't signed up with them you should-it's always fun to try free things! The creamer was very yummy! A nice little treat at the end of the day for me:)

blocks, shoes & a recipe

This one has been building blocks and trains most of the week and asked me to capture his towers. #3 is loving school, although I think that's about to slow down a bit as we are starting to tackle long vowels. A bit more tricky for him with all the rules.

His first sneakers! He is getting in several molars in right now. Poor boy-it's not an easy thing!

I have been trying to make my own salad dressing for awhile. The hardest thing about it is remembering to make it before I want to use it because they are better after being mixed up for awhile. The latest flavor is French Dressing. It receives a big thumbs up from us!

A couple of boys

#3 at the pool last week

This is what #5 thought of the pool. Actually he screamed when I dipped his feet in(the water was cool) but we seem to always go during nap time so he's never awake enough to enjoy(or try to)

Esther

It's so nice to start getting back in the swing of things. Had our first day in our new bible study, so many new faces! Had a lot of families PCS(move) over the summer. But a lot more moved here too, I think the attendance was 113 women and 137 children last week! The study I am in is on the book of Esther. It's a Beth Moore study that can be found here, esther/It's tough being a woman. I believe you can download the videos if you can't get a group study together. The kids are all studying Old Testament Heroes in DiscipleLand

#3 drew a hand print today and it had things like his height, weight, age, hair and eye color on it. For his hair color he was telling me he had to color it yellow because there wasn't a blonde crayon;)

I started back to hula yesterday. We are learning Can you Only Imagine. Love that song.

What I want to be

by #3, I think his favorite letter is D because included in the things we wants to be when he grows up are: A dinosaur, donkey, or now a dolphin. I'm thinking maybe he will work with the animals instead of being an animal but he insists "No I will BE a dolphin!" Yesterday he was showing me how he could swim like a dolphin in the pool.

Car has been repaired and now needs to be picked up. It sports a new starter and battery.

Camera charger, camera charger where art thou?

We reorganized our computer area and we now have a missing camera charger. Of course the camera is on it's last little bit of life so I really need to figure out where it got misplaced!

It was this one's birthday yesterday(June 6th, I actually started this post a few days ago).

He's the Big Number 4!!!

These are some cards the older two made for him. Aren't they neat pop up cards? I really like having all the Usborne craft books around. The kids are constantly getting great ideas from them!

We took a cake to bible study and sang to him. He had been a little more cuddly than usual before we brought the cake out-not sure why. But he did try to blow the candles out but they insisted on staying lit! This upset him quite a bit(I believe the picture of him and cake is after his attempt at the candles) so his sis blew the candles out for him. After he got his piece of cake to eat he was as happy as a plum!
He got a little black and decker tool set like daddies. It's really quite cute. Daddies stuff has the rechargeable battery that you slide on each piece, #3's has this piece too(although his isn't actually rechargeable-it does need a battery)
Today we picked up a scooter and helmet for him. He hasn't quite figured it out, I think he walked it more then rode it.
He's a very happy and healthy young boy-we are so blessed to have him in our lives!!

If you are interested in our cake recipe we used this for the chocolate cake. This was the icing-I used some odds and ends of colors I had left over from other events. It was really yummy!
#3 was helping me roll out the pie crust for our chicken pot pie this week. Now he's use to rolling out the pizza dough which is a little tougher for him to roll out. With the pie crust I had to keep telling him to go easy-then I finally realized he was use to the different consistency and was having fun with how pliable it was.
At the park today.

I blame this headless shot on the fact that they kept walking, while I was trying to zoom in a little on the fact that #4 was holding out a flower for me.
