Remembering a dear friend

Stacey is a beautiful person whom I believe is currently dancing with her Father up above. I can just imagine her singing praises to Him amidst all His glory.

Please keep Stacey's children in your hearts and prayers as they grieve for their mother. May they hold on the the legacy of her faith and look to the Lord for strength. She leaves behind 5 wonderful children.

Company sure keeps you busy

We have some grandparents in town, the children are in heaven! Due to company and my computer being in the 'shop' I haven't been online much but I have my computer back-woohoo!! and it works yippee!!

#2 had another follow up Ultrasound Tuesday. Everything looks good(that's my thoughts) the us tech and head radiologist dr. disagreed with what they were seeing (or weren't seeing) #2's doctor is on emergency leave so we won't find out her thoughts for awhile. As of right now it looks like we'll probably go back in 6 months for another follow up.

Our little painter

The kids surprised the Grandparents with a sign they had made for Grandparents Day.

We surprised Daddy with an early birthday party.

Weekend

It has been a nice weekend for us. Spent some time working on the home to-do list and also some fun times together. Got one quote for the downstairs carpet(it's being replaced) and another quote in progress. James steamed cleaned the upstairs carpets so just need to get after the stairs and we'll soon be able to mark that off the to-do list.
We also got some doors painted. #4 was very intent on helping in this area, I had set the paint can and brush out and then come in the house. Next thing I know he is 'painting' the screen door. It was one of the cutest things! He was carrying an empty paint can around and dipped his brush in then took a couple swipes at the door and then would dip the brush again. Then he'd paint with the brush in one hand and the other hand on his hip-I ran for the camera but when I left he finished up and put the painting gear away.
Another busy week in our home, short school week for us and the start of our bible study group. Much to look forward to! Should be sending the laptop off to get worked on this week so probably be awhile before I post any new pictures of our crew.

Please Pray for the Drews family

Marsha and David have had to face one of the most difficult things a parent can face. Their sweet little guy 'Dozer' as he was known or Christian went up to heaven Tuesday. Please wrap this family up in you prayers, they have 2 young boys that are also going to be missing the youngest. May they find comfort in their memories of sweet Dozer and be able to rejoice that he is with our Heavenly Father.
There is a tribute to Christian on The Heart of the Matter, which is how I am acquainted with the family. This has had me in tears today-I just can't imagine-I don't want to imagine losing a child. Yet we never know when we will be called home...and what a home it will be!

The view

One of my favorite things about where we live is the water. I tried to capture the beauty but this was breakfast time and the sun was too bright for the camera. But this is one of the many parts of Hawaii I will miss! To be working in the kitchen or vacuuming the floor and look up to see the blue blue water is just so wonderful!! We are so blessed in the time we've had here.

First is silly face boy.

Trees

I'm sure you realize how much my children love trees. All trees seem to call out to them 'come climb me'(Which reminds me of this book called The Giving Tree-if you haven't read it you should!) Anyway so #2 found out why it isn't a good idea to climb on a broken branch. She wasn't too far off the ground when it broke all the way off but she is very scrapped up.Ouch!!

This was what #4 was up to yesterday. He was saying set, go and then running and tackling the computer chair. It reminded me of football practice! The irony is I don't think he's ever seen football. But he's a tough little guy trying to keep up with everyone anyway so maybe he'll be a rough and tumble player.

We haven't gone too far from home this week. #4 was sick for a day or so and didn't go far from the sick bucket. I suffered with the sore throat. But we managed to go to the beach Thursday. Just the break we needed to lift our spirits!

#1 Made this crab yesterday. I suggested they make some crafts while I- tried to clean the carpet with the big ole carpet cleaning contraption and this was the only result to be found. Pretty creative given there was no instruction and the little one was trying to throw everything in site!

Here's a cute video-hope you enjoy the humor in the Grocery Store Wars:)
